Scraproom Organization #3

This week's challenge is to organize your paper. My paper has recently become a mess! Basically it just needs put away, but this gives me the opportunity to re-think my storage. (Will try to add specific pictures soon.)

What I currently do:

1. 8x11 cardstock is housed in a rolling, hanging file system. It's Stampin' Up paper, so it's in alpha order. This also includes my white and neutral cardstock in the front. On the second shelf of the table is specialty papers (mulberry, velum, etc.) and my computer printer is down there. I love this rolling cart, but it won't hold 12x12 papers! grrr.

2. 12x12 patterned paper is in 2 milk-crate hanging file boxes on a rolling tv cart. One box has my Basic Grey papers, scraps, and stacks. The other box is sorted by color families.

3. 12x12 cardstock is currently just stuck in with the patterned paper.

What I'm thinking about:

1. Not changing the 8x11 paper, it's fine. Need a board under the printer though. And I need to integrate the new SU colors into the alpha system.

2. Re-filing and organizing the patterned paper by color families. A modified ROYGBIV should work with Pink, Black, White, Tan added in.

3. Should I integrate the Basic Grey or keep it separate??? What about other manufacturers I'm starting to collect (MME, etc.)???

4. Arrange 12x12 cardstock into color families. Take apart the DCWV and Co'ordinations packs.

5. Decide if using additional large milk-crate to re-organize all of this.

6. Organize scraps by color!!! Hanging files may not be the best for this. Currently have cardstock scraps in ziplock bags, but they're not always accessible. Boxes???

7. Organize 4x6 mat stacks and 8x8 stacks.

Ideas for future:

1. Pegboard up on wall and framed with trim.

2. 12x12 hanging file carts: One or Two with folders or desktop box (might be good for specialty storage or use it now storage)

3. Finish space eventually with additional kitchen base cabinets in corner and countertop to make L-Shape desk. Could also use jetmax cubes as base if the height matches.
